Picking up three years after the events in Magnum Force, a threatening terrorist group called, The People's Revolutionary Strike Force declare war to the city of San Francisco and demand a ransom to be paid, otherwise they plan to blow the city apart. While Inspector 'Dirty' Harry Callahan is at a limbo following his unorthodox method during a robbery, he's at it to dispatch the terrorist group, by playing their game by being more dirty than ever. But this time, he's got a new partner, which might prove the task to be somewhat more difficult than ever, unless the two can work together.

I think all of the Dirty Harry series of movies were wonderful- Harry's police work was unconventional- however, he got results....the famous "go ahead make my day" scene was filmed at a restaurant that I ate at during that year the movie was made....I worked a few blocks away at the time...so all his movies were made when I lived in San Francisco, that is why they are all my favorites... - @Friday, April 6, 2018 3:25 PM

Loved Tyne Daly's character, wish she hadn't died but had lived to at least be in part of the 4th film. Their teamwork is what makes this my favorite Dirty Harry. - @Sunday, October 2, 2016 1:40 AM

Eastwood/Dirty Harry, for all his Republican overtones, is really a progressive! In the 1st DH he was a no-nonsense law and order semi-fascist. But in Mag. Force he came out AGAINST the right-wing judge/jury/executioner hit squad cabal. Here, in Enforcer, he comes around on the feminist viewpoint (it was still '76, remember)! Next stop: a female artist in Sudden Impact?! And how many viewers today even have a clue about the whole SLA-type militants thing? - @Tuesday, October 14, 2014 10:54 PM

Very droll, Mr. Spencer. This is one of the more chuckle-worthy commentaries on TFH. - @Saturday, August 17, 2013 4:01 PM

Thankfully for Harry there was no internet at the time or his face and actions would be posted all over the place. Perhaps he could shoot a cell phone camera out of someones hands as they are filming omething. He'd need a pithy one liner. The series, like the Death Wish series, are guilty pleasures, but by today's standards the violence sometimes borders on the cartoonish without getting silly. It always remains grounded in its movie reality. Prey they never try to resurrect Harry Callahan. - @Saturday, August 10, 2013 4:37 AM
