I just think the message of the movie is, that there is and absolute infinte amount of worlds that exist at the exact same time. At first glance u might think, that there are only more similar worlds. But in reality the complete spectrum of worlds, that are thinkable, exist. So there are undless possibilitys and parameters, which then lead to an infinte amount of ideas. I loved the movie but tbh the ending ruins it. Hoping that they would replace it with just a simple happy ending or just remove it entirely if ever they release a Director's cut or something. The ending turns back on the movie's theory that parallel worlds are not "identical" but only "similar." Pretty stupid that another world where the events play out exactly the same as the first one exists if the movie theory is to be followed. Unless you put John Titor's convergence theory then yeah maybe it's acceptable but I doubt the film was made with that in mind. World 1 Jane, Matt (DEAD car accident), Regg(DEAD Killed by Matt2), Children World 2 Jane2 (Killed by Matt2), Matt2, Regg2, No Children World 3 Jane3, Matt3, Regg3?, Children3 Ending World 4 Jane,Matt2(Send to World 5), Regg2, Children4 World 5 is a real mess no real info only Matt2 is there Assuming if W1 and W4 are IDENTICAL (Regg and Regg4 both died) Matt is (DEAD car accident) and I ASSUME Matt4 (is also DEAD car accident) Chidren and Children4 are IDENTICAL. The real big question, Where the hell is Jane4 ? Well Jane and Jane 4 are also IDENTICAL. Now I am guessing Jane4 went to the original World 1 and succeed to save Jane's family without even realizing like Jane saved Jane4's family. Someone should kill Regg2 he is a plus on world 4 so both 1 and 4 would be IDENTICAL. Another simple answer is Regg2 is a freaking liar like Matt2, and World 4 has never Existed and it also doesn't make sens how could Regg2 would know about Jane's World because he never went there. - @Thursday, February 22, 2018 1:44 AM

I found a good answer to the ending in the comment section here by the guy User name Here's what happened: After Matt "unplugged" the teleport machine (making so Jane couldn't go back) she improvised her way back through regg's personal machine, unfortunately due to some error the first attempt resulted in her going into the wrong world (the one in which she saw her whole family together at the table) after noticing it she goes back and tries again.. this time everything is in place which makes her think she's in her original world but she isn't, it's just another parallel world that just so happenes to be identical.. she saves her "parallel" family and carries on living her life for about two months without ever realizing any difference, then Regg shows up at her door and breaks the news... Even though she's on an identical planet, it's the wrong one which means she never got to save her actual family. Allthough, the whole point of the movie is that the parallel world theory is real, which means, infinite outcomes.. Jane fails in some worlds but she succeeds in others. ---- My thoughts about the ending .... IF the world at the end of the movie ISN'T her original world, how it also includes 2 kids needing to be saved from also an evil Matt ? Why everything so in places and so perfectly matching with the original (like the kids that in danger, the missing Jane, the evil Matt)? The exact piece of Matt's SAFETY WEAPON Jane hold at the end !!!!! Is it a proof that this's really her original world (unless there is also another evil Matt owning a weapon looking exactly the same, rather than the first evil Matt we saw, then we got 3 Matt here)?? My conclusion.. If it isn't the original world, then I guess there are worlds that are significantly different and there are worlds that are really not much different.
