When I first saw the trailer for this upcoming movie (not this one), it had a scene where they were walking down some great hall and the daemon said "You'd think they had never seen a daemon before". When I watched the movie, I was waiting for this, believing she would eventually be entering the alternate universe (ours?), but it wasn't in the film. If it was meant for a sequel, then they must have started some shooting for it, but it shouldn't have been included in the trailer for the first film (and getting my hopes up). - @Wednesday, August 29, 2018 11:43 PM

Guldkompasen boken är en underbar bok som fångar dig och väver in dig i värld där alla människor har en Demon som är deras hjärta och själ. Där häxor flyger högt upp i himlen och den mäktiga Iorek leder pansarbjörnarna . För att ha så mycket potential till att kunna bli en himmelsk bra film. Så klipper de istället av den och kastar om. De är bra film i säg. Men inget som kan mäta sig med boken. Läser du den och ser filmen sen. Så kommer du märka så mycket fel de är i den. dessutom har dem ändrat på lyras mamma. De står specifikt i boken att hennes mamma har svart hår och dem har gjort henne tvärt emot. De stör så mycket när de är beskrivit så specifikt hur karaktärer ser ut. Och dem ändrar på dem. Så simpelt som en hårfärg färja. Håller med att den skulle säkert kunna göra sig bättre som serie. Att de har mer tid då till att fånga och skapa en bättre värd. En guldkompasen serie vore sjukt bra. I remember back in 2007 being so upset that they decided to cancel the future films. But 10 years later, I'm actually quite glad they didn't, and this trailer reminded me why. This trailer promised so much more than the final cut delivered, the significant cut-off at the end notwithstanding. Besides, it was made at the same time as the last of the Harry Potter movies, and shortly before the first Twilight films came out. Back then, everyone was thinking that films were the way to adapt beloved novels. However, as we've seen from Game of Thrones and The Night Manager, sometimes a TV series is better because you don't have to boil everything down to 90 minutes. - @Friday, January 13, 2017 1:09 PM
