SPOILERS I don't think Ty was a bad guy; I just think his character was underdeveloped. I think he's made out to be the superficial hunk but I don't think he is this awful person. He's a single divorced dad taking care of his daughter. It is never explained who has custody over the 👧 perhaps it's joint but you never see the girl's mum as he's always the one at 🚸 school events. I think that suggests that he's really there for his kid. I mean at least he is NOT a deadbeat father. Although I guess the mum is irrelevant to the story. I wish that they would've shown more interaction between parent and child. It feels like the writers deliberately wanted to make him seem good on paper so the leading lady would naturally fall for him eg he has a good job (he's a doctor) and he volunteers at the homeless shelter plus he gives her all these lovely gifts and takes her on great dates. However after that they didn't do much with him plot wise. How is he a bad person because he has taken other dates to the homeless shelter in the past? So what! He is showing anyone who he decides is worthy to know the real him a part of his life that he really cares about. What's wrong with that? I think those homeless guys talking to Abbey were too judgemental about his previous relationships. He just got divorced and he's a single father. Maybe he wants to know if any of these women 🚺 who consider him 'the most eligible bachelor' are with him purely for that reason or because of who he is as a person. Also I was frustrated that Abby gets annoyed with him for missing the cinema 🎦 🎬 🍿 trip with her friends - she could've cancelled on Ty and reschedule for another day, she could've explained to Ty that she can't stay long because her friends are expecting her to meet them at a specific time or she could've paid better attention to the time ⌚ 🕒 How is it Tyler's fault that SHE never did any of those things? Afterwards he apologised for making fun of her for being dictated by a calendar 🗓 and he's right I'm quite certain that she never told him that it was a gift from her deceased grandmother who I believe only passed away recently as this is the first Christmas without her (although none of the other family members mention this - Grandma 👵 is only referenced in conversations between Grandpa 👴 and Ab). How is he expected to know the sentimental attachment behind the calendar? I get it that the movie is saying her heart ♥ belongs to the guy who has always been there for her and knows her so well so she shouldn't be deceived by what seems to be the perfect guy. Yes I agree but if they're going for the typical TV 📺 Christmas 🤶 🎅 🎄 🦌 movie then he should have ended up with someone else who appreciates him OR just make him the baddie full stop 🛑 it's just a waste of Ethan Peck's time being in this film - @Saturday, December 8, 2018 9:57 AM

I tried watching this. I really tried. But I couldn't finish it; it's pretty bad. The acting alone is... bleh. The story itself is pretty cliché and dumb, and a lot of details don't add up. For example, I don't think a "photographer stuck in a dead-end job" could afford the space she is living in. This had potential, but it falls short, tbh.
