That moment when Star Wars fandom recognized Tarkin (Holmes) and Count Dooku (Henry Baskerville) - @Monday, November 5, 2018 10:04 PM

Peter Cushing was great as Holmes!! A shame that more Hammer films with Holmes didn't follow, this is a brilliant film. - @Wednesday, April 5, 2017 2:20 PM

- @Sunday, March 22, 2015 11:07 AM

Personally speaking this is one of my favourite versions on film of this story. With two Hammer Class acts in Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee plus excellent support, and in colour . If you are a Hammer fan then do not miss this on DVD. - @Tuesday, February 19, 2013 9:24 PM

Great film, but never really looked at the hound as evil, seeing as sir henry baskerville had just tried to rape before murdering a servant girl.Seem to be doing the world a favour if you ask me. - @Saturday, December 22, 2012 5:16 AM

With all due respect to all the other great actors who portrayed him, Peter Cushing was THE definitive Sherlock Holmes! - @Friday, November 16, 2012 7:02 AM

Basil Rathbone, Peter Cushing and Jeremy Brett were the best portrayals of sherlock Holmes IMO. - @Monday, July 9, 2012 12:11 AM

You couldn't have gotten a better actor for Sherlock Holmes than Peter Cushing in my opinion. Aside from being a hell of an actor, he was the spitting image of Sidney Paget's illustrations. No offense to other great Holmes actors such as Basil Rathbone, of course. - @Monday, June 11, 2012 10:28 PM
