Grenadier on beans
Visually stunning film, absolute height for anyone who enjoys beauty of moving pictures. Visual mastery of Robert Siodmak is so great that he should be an inspiration to younger generations of film makers and taught in school. Everyone who loves film must see his subtle ballet of driving cameras and actors movement, beautiful lighting and play of light and shadow... His movies have that aestetic quality of pure cinema, of pure hedonistic enjoyment of just looking at the beauty of it all, although they are story driven. Dear god, what a master. The Master. Today film is visually in decline, like boring theatrical plays, because nobody experiments or takes risks. Why oh why did all the Tarkovski's and Kubrick's and Peckinpah's die? Today's Hollywood is boring, utterly boring. They made of cinema a god damn theatrical play. B o r i n g!  - @Tuesday, March 18, 2014 11:14 AM

The theme music was the inspiration for the "Dragnet" theme. I challenge people to find the theme-within-the-theme! :D - @Tuesday, September 3, 2013 12:18 AM
