Despite it's corniness and stupid moments, I still like this movie, plus when you think about it, there aren't a lot of black or female superhero films (and most them are quiet horrible; Steel, Blankman, Spawn, Supergirl, Tank Girl). Also, while there are many black and female superheroes in films especially from the last decade, most aren't the protagonist/main hero of the film. So when I find a movie (prior to 2005) with 1 of these superheroes that's at least somewhat enjoyable to watch with a few good moments/ideas, I'll take what I can get. At the very least, this film is a guilty pleasure that I honestly hope gets a remake at some point. - @Thursday, January 26, 2017 12:35 PM
