Look at the slayer mask, then watch movies like the terror within, and the suckling aka sewage baby, and the creatures masks look almost identical to the slayer - @Saturday, June 30, 2018 4:22 AM

Why is everyone dead, is because they are old.  And that's what old people do, they die.  Can you imagine living 1000 years like Adam from the Bible did? - @Monday, November 14, 2016 6:35 PM

Face Off
Interesting fact: the guy who designed the Slayer (Robert Short) was the same guy who designed E.T. The slayer's head itself was a model (not an actor in a mask) and Short said when coming up with the idea for the creature's appearance, he wanted to design something that featured ''spanish moss, decay, and long teeth''. The end result: an utterly terrifying looking creature. Apparently the creature was based on classic monster movies & comics from the 1950s. I wonder which ones in particular inspired it. - @Wednesday, August 31, 2016 4:43 PM

@FrankHoboMaster I remember the original. Very scary to me as a kid. The remake was crap. - @Friday, January 13, 2012 3:51 AM

i was disappointed. felt like an hour and a half long Tales from the Crypt episode without 5 minute pun session buffers. glad i didn't pay $20 for a dvd just because it's rare. probably wouldn't re-watch it. just kind of mediocre. but hey, if you're into it, you're into it, i suppose. - @Thursday, November 10, 2011 7:15 PM

Remember seeing this film for years when I was kid, high up on the horror section shelf in the video store when I was too young to rent them. Just got it all these years later & can't wait to watch it! - @Friday, August 19, 2011 10:50 PM

decent death scenes, and a decent amount of gore, but this movie was boring! and the ending was complete bullshit. - @Thursday, August 18, 2011 12:51 PM

Thank God this film is SO RARE/OBSCURE that it'll NEVER get the infamous "re-make" treatment! - @Saturday, January 1, 2011 5:54 AM

one of the best, haunting video nasties from early 80's. Not lots of gore but plenty of atmoshpere - the logic of real nightmares - @Monday, November 22, 2010 3:22 PM

@kkiller81 Dude, Scalps was a muddled bore in my opinion. The Slayer has greater production values, and an original concept. Plus it has some good character build-up for the type of film it is. - @Sunday, November 7, 2010 9:04 PM
