When a starving woman and her teenage daughter discover his forest refuge, his loneliness drives him to overcome his suspicion and strike a bargain with them in return for bed and board. But as desire becomes stronger than necessity, the exchange becomes an uneasy, ongoing arrangement which threatens not only his carefully constructed world but also his life.

Very good. The survivalist takes extra time with his hair like a Spartan. He speaks with his actions and facial expressions like The Man With No Name. One of the best things about the movie was less dialogue, more acting with facial expressions and body language. Although the women probably don't deserve it, he does good by them; as Gus said in Breaking Bad, "A man provides. And he does it even when he's not appreciated, or respected, or even loved. He simply bears up and he does it. Because he's a man." The survivalist is a great movie that can be played over and over, as Quentin Tarantino said, in the background like a great song. A classic. I know the survivalist dies in this movie, but wouldn't it be great if a series of movies featuring the survivalist would be made, like the old classic spaghetti westerns featuring The Man With No Name? - @Friday, January 27, 2017 4:03 AM
