Kassie (Jennifer Aniston) and Wally (Jason Bateman) are best friends. Being unlucky in love, Kassie has decided to have a child using artificial insemination. Wally doesn't like this idea, but he isn't capable of admitting to himself, let alone to Kassie, that he's in love with her. At Kassie's artificial insemination party, Wally gets very drunk and spies the sperm donor's sample in the bathroom. Wally was way too drunk to know what he did that night, and Kassie has moved away because she doesn't feel that New York City is a place to raise a child. Now 7 years later, Kassie has moved back with her son Sebastian. While she is looking to get Roland (the sperm donor) more involved in their lives, Wally can't help but notice the many striking similarities that he and Sebastian share.

I don't usually like romantic comedies, but there are some of them that catch my interest and are my "guilty pleasure", and this movie is one of them... I love this movie so much! I've watched it about 3 times by now... Plus, Jason Bateman is a cutie patootie <3 But the trailer sucks, it tells the whole story of the movie in 2 and a half minutes. 6/10. Funny movie, it had its moments. Could have been an 8, but the movie was very predictable, as is with most romantic comedies. Jason Bateman and Jennifer Aniston have great chemistry together, the film seemed very natural. The movie had an interesting story-line and the kid (Thomas Robinson) is a natural actor for his age, he played a great part in the movie that gave the film a "real concept" feel to it. The film has a low "rewatchability", and the trailer pretty much sums up the whole movie - the rest of the movie is just filler that leads up to key points that you know are going to happen. Rotten Tomatoes ranks it a 51%, which is about right. A good movie to watch on a Saturday night with the significant other; not a "must watch" movie, but if you're running out of movies to watch, I'd give it a view. - @Monday, March 30, 2015 9:19 PM
