You have not heard the story about OJ Simpson? The producers of the movie saw alot of actors for the Terminator role. Jurgen Prochnow was considered, LAnce Henrikson was forerunner (early concept art for the movie used Lance likeness), while OJ was also in contention, but was excluded for the reasons Rifkin gives. Henrikson was given a secondary role after Cameron met Arnold and Arnie want the T-800 role, and Lance went on to play Bishop in Aliens, and earned his own iconic role as a cyborg. - @Thursday, February 7, 2013 2:38 AM

WTH are you talking about? I don't know about OJ but Jim wanted Arnold as the hero Kyle Reese and Lance Henrisken as the Terminator. It was Arnold who wanted and insisted, despite his manager's objections, to play the Terminator. He had read the script and thought that the Terminator character was more fascinating than the character of Kyle Reese. Jim accepted it after discussing Arnold's idea in a dinner.
