I liked the movie except the part where the town, for no reason at all was thinking about killing some guy's mother, a young man and a woman also. "I want to kill his mother so he feels what I feel." -says an old guy who's mother just died. When my mother died I was upset but I didn't want to kill anyone else's mother. So I didn't under stand that one part.That part did not set with me well. Lynching any one isn't a normal way to "express grief." It's like the town dissolved into the 3rd world. Also I see a lot of comments about Martin Sheen. I agree that Marxist and liberals are violent and anti inclusive of ethno centric societies, I suppose they hate Asians who ban together to form little communities in countries like Europe or the U.S.A.. But as an actor I think Sheen dose better then he dose in politics. And remember a rich liberal can afford to separate themselves safely behind a gated community. They vote on issues with outcomes they don't necessarily have to live with.Unlike most of us. In closing I agree the movie is slow paced but I liked taking in the scenery and parts of it was like observing people going about their daily life. Theirs no super heroes or space aliens in this movie. It's a movie about as humans we sometimes are alone in our grief and helpless in our loss. Sometimes it seems like theirs no voice for the Human condition. Not in the moment that it matters. If your dieing in a ditch, bleeding out and in pain it's comforting to know theirs something beyond, in the next life, or their isn't. The outcome is 50/50, better then the lottery. But it would be nice as we are slipping back into the inner void if a voice from within lightly whispered. Don't worrie child, soon everything will be alright. Yet I don't think we hear that as we die. Captain Kirk of Star Trek commented once. "We all die alone." and in some ways. I agree. - @Wednesday, January 25, 2017 4:51 PM
