I think Threads is so terrifying that it makes The Day After seem innocent enough - @Saturday, November 17, 2018 12:09 PM

Its about time they released this on BLU Ray. I hope they will also release this on DVD. I also hope that this edition will give you the option to choose the original audio in case they decided to alter the sound. It would take away from its original grit if they did alter it. - @Sunday, April 29, 2018 3:59 PM

Karen Meagher's looking well... better than the radioactive hag her character became years after the attack. - @Saturday, February 24, 2018 10:03 PM

The film writer, Stephen Thrower (shown above) is Totally Wrong! It's the Deep State "Mass Media Hysteria" against Pres. Trump that is triggering  the beginning of WW3!! AWOKE! - @Wednesday, February 21, 2018 8:35 PM

The image quality looks just as poor as the DVD release.. No point in buying the Blu Ray version, it seems.. - @Wednesday, February 21, 2018 7:31 PM

About time I had it on dvd and the quality is pretty poor since its not in true HD. Such a terrifying yet amazing documentary film that still leaves me terrified. It's also true that because the way the world is going at this moment... I think this needs to be shown again. - @Monday, February 19, 2018 5:32 PM

I've noticed how, over the decades, the leftists always have it out for Republicans/conservatives; even the ones in Europe. It's interesting because if they had had their way, the West would have just rolled over. Also, what many people in the West don't realize, even to this day, is that the anti-nuclear movements in the West were funded and promoted by the KGB. - @Saturday, February 10, 2018 8:21 AM

This movie marked me forever. They showed to me as a 9 years old boy and never has left me. It made me a nuclear war afficionado and haunts me every single day. I just preordered it, can't wait to hear the director's commentary, the interviews and all the extras. - @Tuesday, January 30, 2018 10:54 PM

I watched it at school then 20 years later. I thought would be run of the mill but it's an amazing piece of work. Brutally realistic and yeah The Day After is like Teletubbies in comparison. - @Wednesday, January 24, 2018 1:55 AM

I'm glad this is finally getting a worthy release, with commentary from the director no less. That being said, though I wouldn't mind watching it with the commentary, this was one of those movies once you saw it, you never wanted to see it again! - @Saturday, January 20, 2018 4:39 AM

Ted Turner paid for "Threads" to be shown on TBS in 1985 and gave a brief speech before the program explaining how important it was to him that it be shown, despite how graphic it was. Supposedly Reagan saw "The Day After" and that was enough to scare him shitless...imagine if he saw this! It remains the only depiction of nuclear war that details the nuclear winter and the breaking down of human society years after the attacks. The sheer depth of despair in this film is unparalleled. - @Tuesday, January 2, 2018 8:55 AM

I must be outta my mind....do you KNOW how many nightmares I got watching this, so what do? I Pre order my copy on Amazon. It will complete my collection of the big WW3 movies of the 1980's. I actually thought a US release would happen, let alone Blu-Ray - @Wednesday, December 27, 2017 9:47 PM
