In the beginning of the film the 50 ford flips over.The stuntman hit an obstacle under the dirt on the side of the road.The car had to be repaired and was painted grey. When the 57 ford crashes through the two cars this was done by welding a steel piece across the bumper sticking out a foot on each side to rol lthe other cars. The gas stn blow up car scene was done with a fake mockup gas stn. The bridge where he done his 180 bootleg turn is still there.In the end when the stuntman hits the mock up bank of transformers he was succesfull. Mitchum was excited to see if the stuntman was ok and sprained his ankle .The 50 ford movie car was bought by jim mitchum after the show and brought back to California. He drove it at his high school and showed the kids how the back drop bumper release worked. - @Wednesday, April 29, 2015 9:09 PM
