Jack Deth is a kind of cop/bounty hunter in the bleak Los Angeles of the future. He's become obssessed with chasing Whistler - an evil criminal who uses powerful hypnotic powers to convert people into zombie like creatures known as trancers. Whistler has managed to escape through time travel and is loose in 1980s L.A. but Deth is on his trail.

Whoa. I was trying to search for this film for years. Its like a childhood memory of mine that I couldn't shake. I didn't know the name and kept thinking about "Scanners" since they sound alike. I just remember the slow motion sequence but couldn't remember where it was from. Hell, I am surprised Helen Hunt is in this film. That was a shocker. Thanks for posting the trailer. An incredibly low budget, shockingly poor DVD transfer (looks like they used a worn out laserdisc copy), 80's B-Movie scifi.....however... Its f*%&ing cool, got atmosphere, well acted....and got great synth music. If you fancy a night in with the misses, wanna get the popcorn out and have a laugh....then I'd recommend this film.
