Well, Tyrannosaurus Rex means “Tyrant Lizard King”. So is that why it’s called Tyrannosaur? Tyrant Lizard? I don’t know, the movie looks really good and i want to see it. - @Tuesday, May 22, 2018 2:40 PM

At first I felt almost disappointed, maybe not the grand finale I expected, no Hollywood happy endings. Only now do I realise I loved it for the simplicity of its realism. Life is no fairytale, is far more complicated and beautiful - @Wednesday, April 5, 2017 6:18 PM

Amazing film. One of the best. If you haven't seen Dead Man's Shoes then I suggest you watch it. Truly one of the best films I've ever watched. The guy that directed this stars in it. If you like British grit then watch it! - @Monday, July 11, 2016 10:55 PM

I'm still amazed at why people watch trailers before deciding to watch a film. Besides the fact that the quality of the trailer has no relation with the quality of the movie (you can make a decent looking trailer for almost any shitty movie) they routinely spoil major plot points. Oh well, to each his own. - @Wednesday, May 11, 2016 8:57 PM

...and how many UK residents saw this film at the pictures when it was released? Fuck the lazy and ineptitude of the British Film Institute and the UK Film Council, they do bugger all to promote native UK films in the UK and instead are comply with the Hollywood machine. - @Tuesday, September 23, 2014 9:52 PM

Those wondering why the title is 'Tyrannosaur,' it's because a Tyrannosaur is a vicious, roaring monster of a creature, just like the characters, the atmosphere and the emotions surrounding the whole film. It's simply a metaphor for monstrous people who don't give a shit. Those thinking why the poster has a Tyrannosaur buried underneath the ground where Peter Mullan is standing is another metaphor. Mullan plays a 'monstrous' character, but after meeting Olivia Coleman's character, he starts to care for others but remains a vicious man, however, he has buried his attitude (the tyrannosaur) and has become more of a saviour than a monster. - @Friday, November 15, 2013 1:06 PM

I disagree as I can see the value in both types of movies (I also disagree with you on the notion that all dinosaur movies involve 'pointless CGI action'). Tyrannosaur was a wonderful film on many levels, however, that doesn't give you the right to bash entire sub-genres of movies. Someone could just as easily label tyrannosaur as a overly emotional, depressing movie with 'pointless' emotive expressions and a dark gloomy atmosphere. All I ask is that you think before you speak next time. - @Thursday, September 26, 2013 5:23 AM

it seems that Paddy has the same style as Shane Meadows. Who for me is one of the best directors there is. His performance in Dead Man Shoes to his performance in Le Donk makes him as well one of Britain's finest actors - @Sunday, September 1, 2013 10:18 PM
