Beginning in 1997 with a few thousand revelers in Los Angeles, the Electric Daisy Carnival has become the largest dance music event in North America. Known for its over the top displays of pyrotechnics, world-class artists, costumed theatrical performers, interactive art installations, full scale carnival rides and state-of-the-art lighting and sound production, this year's festival attracted 345,000 attendees from June 21-23, 2013. Shot in IMAX 3D, the film will follow festivalgoers as they prepare for their journey to EDC Las Vegas and chronicle their unique experience throughout the three-day festival. Behind the scenes footage and interviews with key Insomniac team members will give new audiences the chance to discover what has made the Electric Daisy Carnival a global phenomenon.

Such a shame there are so many people who are not ravers that choose to generalize the entire population of people that go to these events as drug addicts and orgy obsessed lowlifes. If only they can see that the majority of people that go to these events are not "Drug and orgy obsessed lowlifes" they will realize that what actually happens at these events is in fact equal to Peace. I am sorry, but everyone who looks at these events and sees "everyone" at the event to be drug users, they need to get off their high horse and maybe do a little research because the media paints the ravers so badly and its not fair to us. Sure there are frat boys that go, but that does not mean everyone there is a "drug and sex obsessed frat boy in a tank and a Camelbak." Some of us are there to actually enjoy the experience and the feeling of inclusion we get while being there because "Under the electric sky we come together." I used to rave in 1995, 1996 or thereabouts, in California. It was great fun and everyone was very nice and open to each other. It's not just about drugs it's the attitude that people have when they rave -- similar to the way hippies were insofar as being friendly to all. So was this based off EDC in 2013 or 2012? Just curious since this trailer was before EDC 2014. Was my first time going this year and I've been into the EDM scene as far as what was played (Tiesto, Armin, etc) but I never looked into going because of the perspective those who judged said it was a bunch of drugys (and all the bad vibe comments). I've been in the scene for years and Idk what this bs is about a family yeah people are cool cause everyone is on drugs or enjoying music they love. The girl in the movie from Texas was at the screening. In the movie she has really bad social anxiety but she isn't scared about being filmed for a movie that is gonna go national. She's not afraid to get on stage with above and beyond and she even announced to the movie goers that she wanted a group picture after the movie!? What happened to all the anxiety problems lol. Anyway I digress this movie was a joke just made to suck people in to edc and insomniac events.
