I don't know if I could see an American president take action and make himself a dictator and disarm the populace. There are so many checks by these decisions that it's practically impossible. First of all, if I was in the Army, and my CO told me to disarm the populace, I would say, "Fuck no, 2nd Amendment dude". Most of the armed forces would probably not obey that command in the U.S., so there goes the President's military.
