While what happened to these trainers because of Tilikum is sad, the trainers who work with these orcas at SeaWorld have training and know the risks involved when it comes to working with these creatures. Accidents still happen regardless and it is not the fault of the park. Tilikum was well known for injuring trainers long before Dawn's death. People should know what dangers they're getting into when working with large animals. Keeping a wild animal especially a whale in a 20 ft, 30 ft deep pool compared to the thousands of miles of vast ocean is suicide to the poor thing. I understand the message of the movie, I also understand that it's not being shown for free and that a movie about exploitation is making profit from exploiting the death of a human being who spoke out against this type of publicity in the past. The last time I was at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (which used to be Marine World), an asshole kept tapping on the glass of a tank with his ring, agitating a killer whale who kept bumping up against the glass to get him to stop. There were no employees around to make him stop, and he wouldn't even do so when my sister and I berated him for it. It made us sick to see this poor creature tormented like that with no one to protect it. They should have guards at that tank. I haven't been back since. - @Monday, June 3, 2013 4:59 PM
