One of the best war movie ever i watched it when i was still young together including platoon, too bad i had to see those gruesome scenes at a tender age of 10. Wilem Defoe's death in Platoon and the gang raping of the girl in casualties haunted me until i came to understand that it was a movie. Its sad to hear it was based on a true story. - @Tuesday, October 11, 2016 11:13 AM

It is written that the woman was created for the man. But many have been taught, or interpret this verse as if the woman was created for the man to use, to fulfill his own carnal desires.  Some refer to her as his helpmate, and claim she is to help him with his "labour tasks". But the Bible (kjv) calls her a help MEET for man, as in, this, is what he needs.... He needs her, and she may desire him, if he is useful.  But after the Fall, sin entered into their flesh, and now they would experience lusts of the flesh, have carnal desires.  "I want s'more.. This chocolate cake, is the best, yet."  Onan, God destroyed him, not for "sexual fantasy", but for treating the woman as an object, for using her, to satisfy an urge, and then tossing her aside like a Kleenex... He needs her, so that he might understand Him, who is, LOVE.  God is a spirit :  God is Love.  Be careful what you call love then.  He told them to be fruitful and multiply. He did not tell them to multiply and be fruitful.  Being fruitful ought to precede multiplying then, unless you can do both simultaneously.  A good work... multiplied.  See Parable of the Sower :  Luke 8, kjv.  The Apostle Paul once said to Timotheus :  "Behold, I have begotten thee through the Gospel". Hence, he called him, a son.  But he did not call himself a father. The Church is a She. In this movie there is a dialogue scene between him, and this other soldier.  He says to him that he was raised Presbyterian, while the other guy tells him that he was raised Episcopalian. And then they both stare into space. - @Wednesday, February 4, 2015 7:29 PM

Their history, their religion, their politics, their lives - these things can be summed up as : "kill the black man, or enslave him, and impregnate (or otherwise use) coloured women in breeding programs until all have white fathers." They equate personality, intelligence, behaviour, etc., with genetics - teach children to see skin colour as a team uniform. Gangs, associations, fraternities : Their modus operandis is always, EUGENICS - a perverse belief that behaviour does not determine who goes to heaven but genetic heritage - wherefore they promote slavery, and a political economy which is essentially a casting system. "A dream world" is created by their academics, philosophers, news writers, etc., to explain the "racial differences". I do not see (hear) many white persons emotionally affected by the way  society treats "coloured people": Lynchings, slavery,  segregation, and migrant labour populations being called undocumented aliens - all that usury, they accept,  are comfortable with. Or is it a case of information overload causing "shut down" - indifference, purposefuly avoiding problems because you already have "too much on your plate"? And so issues of systemic discrimination fall down on the priority list along with unsolved cases of corporate malfeasance, to deal with "How to score tickets to the Seahawks game?" They who do not fight against evil, promote it. But for them, evil is "clear cuts" and "ozone depletion". The mass murders they condone, or participate in, does not worry them. But they who would protest such things, if they be coloured men, are called "terrorists" or "mentally ill". Only the state-sponsored puppets will present the other side: "Speaking for the arab position - Joe Steinberg." The wicked rise to positions of authority based upon their allegiance to EUGENICS. It is logical for them to legitimize sodomites taking out wedding licenses  and adopting children, for what matters to them is that  they be white, wherefore acceptable, to rule. In contrast,  the moral coloured man, must be refused - because he is  nonwhite, and therefore to be regarded as a nonperson : Let him be ruled over by white sodomites is their policy. It is how they ensure the rise of the wicked and the destruction of many. China : one child only policy.   Daughters exported to the US. Sodomite culture promoted, domestically.   See, Eugenics? What will people not do for money? Or do you believe that propaganda about girls in sacks being tossed over bridges, to be drowned? The Bible (kjv) tells us that the pharoah of egypt once demanded that all the first born males in egypt be slaughtered. And so did the egyptian women to their own first born sons. But the Hebrew women would not harm their own sons - and this disturbed the pharoah,  that not all women are alike. Have you ever seen, or read, a bible story book (written for children, and adults with reading comprehension problems) that spoke thusly? The publishing companies would have you believe that the pharoah was only targeting the sons of the Hebrews. The Truth will MAKE you free, but it may take a while before you are actually SET free. See, John 14 :6, kjv. Have you been made perfect in love yet? In the movie, The Game Plan, Dwayne Johnson plays a football player who is self-centered, and not too happy to know he has a daughter. But then he grows as a person. He stops "acting black" (selfish male?) and begins "acting white" ("a Mary can, so let her" - big sister?). I like how this movie, Casualties of War, ends. He is back in the States, and on a bus, when .. See, Malachi 4:5-6, kjv. - @Wednesday, February 4, 2015 6:07 AM

I agree Annedarrow, this is a great film, however I don't like the statement at the closing of the movie: "Quote "Although this film is based on an actual incident, the names of the participants have been changed. PFC Herbert Hatcher was found not guilty of murder. On appeal, Hatcher’s rape conviction was reversed and on retrial he was acquitted, his confession having been disallowed on constitutional grounds. “Unquote".
