Good rewrite given the movie had to portray the exact opposite of the original. "Redemption" was shelved after Barry wasn't changed after all and he got two prison sentences just before the movie was ready. Now released as "Con Man" the movie portrays a relapsed Barry. So what this movie is telling me is that if I (a white man) goes to jail I will meet a magic black man who will NOT steal my shoes, rape or kill me but will instead help me morally, spiritually and eventually get me out of the prison, and as a better man at that!
