A well respected Chicago surgeon Dr. Richard Kimble has found out that his wife, Helen, has been murdered ferociously in her own home. The police found Kimble and accused him of the murder. Then, Kimble (without Justifiable Reason) was tried, convicted, and sentenced to death. However, on the way to prison, Kimble's transport crashed. Kimble escapes and is now on the run. Deputy Samuel Gerard from Chicago takes charge of the chase of Kimble. Meanwhile, Kimble takes up his own investigation to find who really killed his wife, and to lure Gerard and his team into it as well.

I think Harrison Ford is awesome, loved him in the star wars series and I loved him even more in this movie. I own this movie on vhs and man I wont sell it. This movie rocks, Tommy Lee Jones and Harrison Ford, an awesome team, though not on the same side at first. Agreed it was 20, I was 16 when it came out. I am now 35, will be 36 this year, I actually bought the vhs only a few months ago. Apparently Nick Nolte, Michael Douglas, and Kevin Costner were also in consideration for the role before they chose Harrison Ford. Apparently when they offered it to Nolte, he turned it down because 1. he didn't want to do another action movie and 2. Nolte said "I'm too old."
