I lost count of how many times Durant's character did something totally stupid and somehow didn't get himself killed. Loud noise outside my house in the middle of the night? Better wander in the dark with nothing but a flashlight. Saw something scary dart across the road? Better get out of the car and leave my kid. Thing is trying to kill us in this building? This was a really good movie. Kevin Durand is great and the build up was pretty good, but the creatures were just not very good. I mean yea if the cg was good they would look bad ass but not for this movie. They dont look very natural (in the special features they said they wanted to make something that looked natural like it evolved in that region) and im left underwhelmed only by that.
