Johnny Petrie learns on his 18th birthday that he was adopted after inheriting a farm in Maine. Eager to start a new life, Johnny leaves home so he can began afresh in this "new" dwelling. However, Johnny soon discovers that the farm, which has been abandoned for eighteen years since his natural family died, harbors a horrifying history about the deaths of said natural family.

This movie was so funny and that isn't good for a horror movie. The 'scares' are just stupid with people popping up behind closed doors. It wasn't scary it looked like somebody was just standing waiting to say hello. That is 1,5 hour I can't get back. The story of the movie is that there is a religious family of 5, one mother, one father, one older daughter, one young son, and a baby. The father is a priest, and believes he must sacrifice and crucify his family to the Lord, but the younger son and daughter get scared and hide the baby before they meet their own death. The baby is found by a fellow officer called to the scene, and the boy is adopted by his aunt. When the boy is 17 he returns to the farm, unknowing his past, and claims the farmland to sell. Little by little, his past begins to turn up, fellow townspeople start to go crazy and become possessed by the family's spirits to hurry and end the boys life to finish the sacrifice.
