I've waited for over 25 years for Friday's statement of LA needing things like "a good hockey team" to be false. CONGRATS KINGS!! BTW it's at 1:05 - @Tuesday, June 12, 2012 3:31 AM

Hilarious movie. One of my favorites. Glad I have the DVD, which I'm actually watching right now while putting my soundtrack in play order. Oddly, Dan's voice is much higher in the preview than it is in the actual movie. They should have left the cut scenes in the film, especially the Friday name joke. - @Sunday, August 28, 2011 12:26 AM

Interesting scenes in this trailer that were deleted in the final cut of the film. The scene with Joe (Dan Ackroyd) peeking out of the manhole, not in the film. Also, after Joe says "My name's Friday", Jerry Cesar (Dabney Coleman), says "Take a lot of kiddin' about that": then Joe replies "Almost never." Those lines weren't in the film, but were used in The Art Of Noise remix "Dragnet '88". - @Sunday, January 9, 2011 4:54 AM

That was probably a deleted scene. The DVD I have doesn't show that scene. Also the scene where Caesar asks "take a lot of kidding about that?" and Friday says "almost never" was deleted. - @Friday, January 29, 2010 6:59 PM

Dan and Tom were terrific in this. I think this one of the top TV to Film adaptations. It's great to see Tom when he was fun and not a Hollywood fat cat. - @Monday, May 18, 2009 1:32 AM

That first shot of Aykroyd emerging from the manhole cover--that wasn't in the flick.... - @Saturday, November 8, 2008 1:19 AM

Tom Hanks doesn't seem to think too highly of this film. But he shouldn't be ashamed of it. It's entertaining and much much better than the Police Academy films. I detect quite a few scenes inspired by Stan Freberg's St George and the Dragonet. - @Wednesday, June 4, 2008 1:47 PM

"Lemme tell you something Strebeck. There are two things that differentiate us from animals. One, we use cutlery. Two we're capable of controlling our sexual urges. Now YOU might be an exception, but don't drag me down into your private hell!"-best quote EVER - @Thursday, April 17, 2008 3:54 PM

What's with the audio on this? Dan Aykroyd doesn't sound like himself at all. Was this an international trailer? Audio issues aside, I think this trailer is pretty cool. - @Tuesday, March 4, 2008 3:30 AM

Great Movie, someone should post the scene when Connie is no longer the Virgin Connie Swale. The look on Tom Hanks is priceless. - @Wednesday, February 20, 2008 2:21 AM

Ackroyd is better at playing Friday than Jack Webb!!! - @Thursday, February 14, 2008 9:48 PM

This film is Dan Aykroyd's masterpiece. He was born to play Joe Friday. My favorite scene is where the three young thugs try to mug him... one trys to bum a cigarette- "It's an unhealthy habit, one I don't recommend. Take my advice- give it up by not taking it up." "Hey, thanks for the Public Service Announcement." - @Tuesday, December 18, 2007 12:03 AM
