Dear Director, The film looks interesting, however as a resident of Japan I want to comment about the small clip I saw of the gentleman walking on some sidewalk in public and carrying a gunto that is NOT inside a bag/case. This is against the law here. Jutoho is the name of the law forbidding the carrying of weapons in Japan. This film might give the general public an idea that carrying a sword in such a way is just fine. You the director are responsible for how you portray things in your film. I urge you to think about this. As well every martial artist here follows the law and carries their swords in bags. Its not only the law but it shows respect for the SWORD you are transporting. As well as respect for the people around you. No one wants to see someone walking about with a potentially deadly sword out of its case that you can just whip out and cause death or injury. This(JAPAN) is not like the United States. Weapons are tightly regulated here, and those of us dealing with the use of swords and other weapons in traditional schools in Japan take this seriously. Please think deeply and consider this. Thank you. - @Sunday, August 6, 2017 2:43 PM

I believe this is an important documentary and I am looking forward to it. But was it necessary to "walk" around a japanese city with openly displaying a sword (0:55)? Maybe it makes for some dramatic cinematography and looks kind of "cool" to the audience but it is not at all the usual way to carry a sword around in Japan, in fact it's illegal. Please delete this scene from the documentary. - @Saturday, July 29, 2017 7:30 AM

You know, carrying a sword like that in Japan is illegal and you're damn lucky there were no police around else you might find yourself in a Japanese jail. And I'm not exactly sure how forgiving they would be. It sure we be a shame if you lost the blade to such ignorance. - @Saturday, July 29, 2017 4:15 AM
