This looks shitty, plain and simple. If you're defending it, you have no allegiance to the original manga or the 1995 movie. That's fine, but don't go around acting like we fans aren't allowed to criticize the fuck out of it. This is a soulless shell (no puns here) of a timeless masterpiece and will be remembered as such. And yeah before I'm done, I'll say it. I'm pretty pissed by the fact that there will be no nudity in this. I swear it's not because of I want to see her titties, as anyone can find that with a quick google search, but one of the themes of the original is the evolution of gender identity and also the evolution from sexual reproduction to mechanical, digital reproduction. With a strict western culture already overthrowing this work, censorship of artistic nudity will become a prevalent priority of this and who knows what else they'll throw out of the artist's original work. I'm already seeing a different atmosphere form the original altogether going on.
