Today in the United States, by the simple acts of feeding ourselves, we are unwittingly participating in the largest experiment ever conducted on human beings. Each of us unknowingly consumes genetically engineered food on a daily basis. The risks and effects to our health and the environment are largely unknown. Yet more and more studies are being conducted around the world, which only provide even more reason for concern. We are the oblivious guinea pigs for wide-scale experimentation of modern biotechnology. GMO OMG tells the story of a fathers discovery of GMOs in relationship to his 3 young children and the world around him. We still have time to heal the planet, feed the world, and live sustainably. But we have to start now!

Several of us are leading the fight to ban GLYPHOSATE in Bermuda. Monsanto are "offshored" in Bermuda and have also lobbied to Bermuda Department of the Environment to lift the ban on the commercial use of Roundup/Rodeo.... There is a public meeting in Bermuda on January 12th 2017. We have to STOP Glyphosate in Bermuda http://www.royalgazette.com/news/article/20161223/call-for-weed-killer-ban-to-be-lifted - @Monday, December 26, 2016 12:41 PM

Do a web search for “weeding robots” ( solar powered ).  They are available and working today to work the fields.  Tell Monsanto and the FDA to do what is right - NO GMO IS NEEDED. - @Friday, March 18, 2016 10:02 AM

Although we have advanced technologically over the past 5,000 years, we are losing our most important technology: the natural world. The natural world is more complex and advanced than any technology we have ever developed. Therefore, any attempt by man to create an artificial solution to a natural problem will ultimately fail. - @Monday, August 31, 2015 1:56 PM

ugh, first of all, 100% of corn is GMO.... corn (the way you see it, the kind you eat off the cob) is a GMO....  unless you want to eat teosinte, because that is what non GMO corn is, so is broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, cabbage, apples, bananas... the list goes on for a long time..... those are all by standard definition food that has been genetically modified  through artificial selection.... people if you dont want to eat GMO foods then by all means go ahead and search the wild version of pretty much everything, grow it, and eat it, you will never get a plant as good tasting, juicey, sweet, and if its in the wild its filled with seeds (google a wild banana, hell google wild anything).... people are living longer and longer in america... while we see the other countries suffer from starvation.... personally i think that if you get to eat so much that you are picky about some of these things you just look like an asshole to many poorer people in other countries.... as for pesticides, NORMAL DAMN FARMERS USE IT!!! there are things out there that can kill certain things yet be ok for other things to eat, a good example is diatomacious earth, it kills bugs by sucking them dry, yet it is a food additive that is full of calcium.... and for those who dont know it is literally nothing more than the skeletal remains of small sea creatures - @Thursday, January 15, 2015 4:20 AM

Passion + Truth = Change Good luck Mr. Seifert! I hope this movie becomes just like Food Inc, King Corn, and Fed Up and shown in every high school science class across America.   Experienced breast cancer at the age of 38 and had no idea about America's highly processed, genetically modified food supply (and I thought I was eating healthy) and changed "What's on my Plate" over 12 years ago and thankfully have been healthy ever since. Anyone else find it strange that America (and her children) have never been fatter or sicker and we can't seem to figure out why? GMOs is just a way to cut corners, easy, fast, and cheap as the big corporation want their products to be. Label GMOs and there won't be a need to outlaw GMOs, the industry will collapse by itself.  - @Friday, February 14, 2014 4:43 AM

The crops lose health and the nutrition level of GMO foods is decreased by far, sprayed with herbicides, the land loses life, the people lose health and life. - @Wednesday, September 4, 2013 12:59 AM

The video shows a few sprayers applying chemicals. Just to let people know, chemicals are also applied to non GMO crops just not organic crops. GMO critics want to link pesticide use ONLY to GMO crops which is not correct. - @Wednesday, August 21, 2013 5:09 AM

You are exactly right when talking about pesticides. Fields would be overrun by weeds and yields likely cut in half - @Wednesday, August 21, 2013 5:05 AM

We have a neighbour who is an organic farmer. Because he cannot use chemical fertilizer, he must grow a nitrogen fixing crop in order to provide nutrients for next years crop. So he is only able to grow one crop in two years. This only allows him to grow half the food a non organic farm would. - @Wednesday, August 21, 2013 5:04 AM

Total BS! Do your research! Studies have shown that organic farming can produce just as much food and food with a higher nutritional content. Also, organic farming doesn't dump a ton of toxic pesticides on the ground and food. GMOs have the DNA from bacteria (including e coli) inserted into the cells of the plant. GM corn contains Bt toxin which causes an insect's stomach to explode. In humans, GMOs cause allergic reactions, leaky gut syndrome and other problems. They are also toxic to animals. - @Tuesday, August 20, 2013 6:49 AM

It has become obvious we are being poisoned. All diseases are on the rise and if things keep up this way, we are looking at soylent green future. We are at war. It's the human race against them. Please let's all unite and stop their insanity. - @Friday, August 2, 2013 12:34 AM

doctors then treat symptoms with more drugs and pretty soon our bodies are so out of balance from pesticides/herbicides and drugs. We continue to eat poorly and ingest bad foods so more drugs more pesticides/herbicides it's a vicious circle and our bodies never get balanced. Many many times, if we learn to eat right (non GMO, organic, non processed) and get the supplements our bodies are starved for, our bodies will naturally detox and slowly obtain a balance. (con't) - @Thursday, August 1, 2013 10:35 PM

The problem with this Monsanto method is soon weeds and bugs adapt to these herbicides/pesticides and then mega doses and more and more herbicides/pesticides need to be used in order to control the weeds and bugs. The only winner here is Monsanto who will then sell more pesticides/herbicides. The other problem is Human bodies were not made to and can NOT process all these poisons we are ingesting and so we become chronically ill and develop all kinds of auto immune issues. cont'd - @Thursday, August 1, 2013 10:28 PM

The idea that rising population=overpopulation comes from a fear based-scarcity mindset that is instilled by the powers that be. They are interested in maintaining this mindest because it helps them 'divide and conquer' It is being proven that by using sustainable and regenerative practices in land stewardship and community that there can be an abundance - @Thursday, August 1, 2013 7:14 PM

For examples of this i recommend researching Bill Mollison, Geoff Lawton, and Sepp Holzer, some of the founders and big names in permaculture. Also check out this video (The Power Of Community. How Cuba Survived Peak Oil) about how Cuba has been able to make farming a profitable and desireable enterprise to take up following the oil crisis. - @Thursday, August 1, 2013 7:13 PM

The idea that rising population=overpopulation comes froma fear based-scarcity mindset. It is being proven that by using sustainable and regenerative practices in land stewardship, community, and economy that there can be an abundance far above the output of conventional farming. THe fact is that they produce FAR more food/acre but less food/manhour. By adopting these types of practices we would be able to feed everybody HIGH quality food, as well as create jobs. - @Thursday, August 1, 2013 7:10 PM

You're wrong. A rising population does not = overpopulation. That's a myth. Even with the rising population, GMO crops are not a necessity. Monsanto is now what we define as conventional farming. I'm assuming you meant organic/alternative farming can't feed everyone? There is an abundance of fertile land awaiting sowing. World hunger is about money and power, not lack of potential organic food growth. Further debate is welcome, but be aware, I grew up organic farming and married a dietitian. - @Thursday, May 30, 2013 7:49 PM
