I'm a christian and I already hate this movie. It's so much preaching! First of all: Not all not-christians drive with alcohol behind the wheel and cause an accident. And the way the protagonist let others teach him lessons is just so unrealistic. Why not make a film of Ted Dekker's books? They are not preaching at all! They are just showing what is good and love. I'm not bashing on the so called "12 step recovery. I'm saying that this was just a terrible movie. The plot flow was terrible, camera work was sub par and they could have at least gotten some better actors. Maybe it's because it hit something you need in your life as well. It is all about somebody needing help and finding it through a 12 step program called celebrate recovery. There all over try one out before you knock them and it is all about finding the Lord and letting him control what we can't in our lives. The main charecter dosent go to church, dosent really know what recovery is and is in denial he even has an addiction. Anyone could understand this story. It moves the main charecter along with the audience through the journey of discovering what it all is about. I am all for free speech and thought so you may say what you want, but to ridicule someone who believes in Jesus and faith is just wrong. If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it. This movie is about Celebrate Recovery, a religious twelve step program based on the 8 Beatitudes. It just so happens to be based on someone who plays professional baseball. Just saw the prescreen of the movie 4/11/13 with my husband and some friends, courtesy of our Christian Radio station, The JoyFM here in Tampa, Florida. We were disappointed coming to a "Christian" film and seeing so much cleavage in the movie, especially the opening scene with Vivica Fox. Do you think you can't do a movie unless you show this?
