AHHHHHHH!! I finished watching this today at school and I was balling my eyes out! My classmates stared at me like I was weird but this movie touched me in a personal way that none of my classmates know...You see... My dad was an alcoholic and sometimes he was so drunk he beat my brother and I...But through god I found somewhere deep down to forgive him! My family and I attend church and My dad hasn’t hit us in years!! I cried at least 6 times while watching the whole movie...The song is beautiful, the story is touching and I cannot explain how glad I am that this exists!! My step father was abusive most of my childhood so when I watched this movie I could really relate to it. I watched my step father go from being a monster into a loving grandfather to my children. Broke my heart when I heard he was suffering from cancer because all those times he beat me I wished he die or feel the pain he inflected on me. I went to a Christian therapist who told me to write down all the bad things people have done to me in my life and rip it up and pray a s I prayed I told God I forgave each person who harmed me in anyway. You have to forgive those who harmed you in order for God to forgive you. The first time I heard this song I was at a Christian youth group retreat.
