During the Cold War, Soviet agents watch Professor Henry Jones when a young man brings him a coded message from an aged, demented colleague, Harold Oxley. Led by the brilliant Irina Spalko, the Soviets tail Jones and the young man, Mutt, to Peru. With Oxley's code, they find a legendary skull made of a single piece of quartz. If Jones can deliver the skull to its rightful place, all may be well; but if Irina takes it to its origin, she'll gain powers that could endanger the West. Aging professor and young buck join forces with a woman from Jones' past to face the dangers of the jungle, Russia, and the supernatural.

Any idea exactly what's playing in the background from 0:36 to 0:52? I think it's a fast drum beat. Do you know what it really is? I have been wondering about it for a while. - @Sunday, September 21, 2014 8:05 AM

Doom is still the worst one imo. Last Crusade is the best of all of them followed by Raiders then Crystal Skull then Doom. - @Sunday, March 17, 2013 5:05 AM

even if i were to get over the fridge, i can't get over the cgi gophers, the shitty alien plot or that he murders 0 people - @Saturday, February 23, 2013 9:10 PM

I thought this one was awesomely fun but not as good as doom and raiders. - @Friday, December 21, 2012 1:12 AM

In my humble opinion, Doom kicks the crap out of Raiders and I think Crusade was the better Nazi one, but opinions vary. Everyone likes their first bite and I think a lot of people enjoy the first one for that reason. Doom might have been my first bite (the first one I saw) but I can't remember. - @Sunday, November 25, 2012 5:00 AM

I liked it too. I just saw it now. Its much better than people give it credit for. The Shia sword fight was pretty cool and it reminded me a little of Rufio! - @Sunday, November 25, 2012 4:53 AM

Doom is only slightly behind raiders imo, and second overall in the series - @Tuesday, November 13, 2012 7:27 AM

After I saw this trailer I knew it was gonna suck. Don't tell me this was better than Temple of Doom. Anyone who thumbs up your comment commits blasphemy - @Tuesday, September 25, 2012 6:37 PM

I hate how a lot of people dismiss this one. It was good. I enjoyed it. If you have any nostalgic value for the originals, you will like this one. It's definitely not better than Raiders or Crusade. Temple of Doom is good too though. The last half hour is amazing but it has as much ridiculousness as Crystal Skull. Overall its a good movie, with a few flaws, but the negative reaction was bullshit. - @Wednesday, September 19, 2012 1:39 AM

MrVideoman90210
LOL... I'm a old man and i grew up with Indy (I'm 38) I'm a big fan... but 90% realism...lol. Temple of Doom is lucky if its 50/50. Raiders MIGHT be like 70/30 if its lucky. - @Tuesday, September 18, 2012 6:15 PM

Mordor6121512
Indy is 90% realism, 10% fantasy.. Sci-fi does not belong in Indiana Jones, go watch Stargate if you want sci-fi - @Friday, July 27, 2012 11:49 AM

And where do you think Indiana Jones movies came from?. that's what I thought. - @Friday, July 27, 2012 8:19 AM

If I wanted to see a movie where gods came from another planet whatsoever I'd go watch Prometheus that movie makes sweaty monkey love to the idea. Indiana Jones is all about supernatural mysticism.. Lucas just can't resist his love for all these bloody Star Wars aliens he's created over the years - @Sunday, June 17, 2012 4:12 PM

knoxvilleguy2
The Stargate series already dealt with a crystal skull in 1 episode. Bringing in ancient astronauts just didn't seem kosher. On a related note - In the next installment of the " Mummy " series, Brendan Fraser finds an Egyptian tomb with some kind of wormhole connecting it to the " pyramids " in the Cydonia region of Mars, & that a bunch of the ancient Egyptian gods came from there..... ;) - @Sunday, June 17, 2012 2:54 PM

Mordor6121512
There was no fun. Its start was a bit strong but after the nuke-the-fridge scene it started going downhill. If you come to notice this movie had not even a single exotic location. Raiders had Cairo, Temple had Shanghai, Crusade had Venice. What did this nonsense have? Just a bunch of CGI monkeys and Shia LaDouche - @Wednesday, June 6, 2012 5:38 PM

Mordor6121512
Alien background is what made it suck.. Indiana Jones is trademark for supernatural religious background. If I wanted a fucking alien movie I'd go watch Alien, Aliens, Predator or Star Wars.. I was ready to accept the new Cold War setting, the new Soviet villains, the new Amazon location.. But Aliens?? NO WAY!! Aliens is not the Indiana Jones way. Sorry but this movie nearly killed the series - @Tuesday, June 5, 2012 4:56 PM

Prove that extra terrestrials aren't real... the crystal skull was an artifact too dumb ass... it just had extra terrestrial, alien background. - @Tuesday, June 5, 2012 12:43 AM

love the comment but lets just get one thing straight (not saying that you got it wrong or anything but...) indiana jones does not copy uncharted! uncharted got INSPIRED (it did not copy like mincraft isn't a rip off of infini miner) by indiana jones. Just saying it so some people don't get "confused" :) - @Thursday, April 5, 2012 7:28 PM

Oh wow! I thought I was the only one who liked it more than Temple of Doom. I love all 4. Temple of Doom just didn't have enough "action scenes" for me. There's only 2/3 (depends on whether you join the mine cart scene and the ending as one) while Raiders had 4, Last Crusade had 4 and Crystal Skull had 3/4 (depending on whether you combine the jungle chase with the ants). - @Wednesday, April 4, 2012 10:50 PM

Mordor6121512
The raft in ToD was more real than the fridge. And its not only the fridge why everyone hated it, its how they jumped from the supernatural elements in the first 3 to extra-terrestrial in this steaming pile of shit And please don't bring the Grail into all of this, its an artifact not some random fridge or plain which is meant to be realistic.. The Grail is said to have larger-than-life qualities, like the Ark - @Thursday, March 29, 2012 9:39 AM

Mordor6121512
You're fucking retarded to say Crystal Skull is one of the best movies ever, let alone the fact that its the best Indiana Jones film.. I don't think you're worthy to be called an Indiana Jones fan you can just rot watching that piece of shit Crystal Skull which doesn't deserve to bear the Indiana Jones title.. The stupid shit you love that's called Crystal Skull is a disgrace to Indiana Jones and you're a disgrace to all the Indy fans.. Honestly, you're one of the biggest idiots in history - @Thursday, March 22, 2012 1:59 PM

Mordor6121512
I think its a big difference from the first 3 considering the stuff you mentioned were all supernatural, and the alien nonsense in this is extra-terrestrial.. My advice, stop questioning what the first 3 because thats how they're meant to be.. UFOs are not the Indiana Jones way - @Thursday, March 22, 2012 1:55 PM

Mordor6121512
Aliens are not supernatural bro, they're extra-terrestrial.. There's a fine line between fantasy and science fiction.. Supernatural is everything from ghosts to monsters to demons.. - @Thursday, March 22, 2012 1:52 PM

Mordor6121512
Bad idea dude.. The difference between Indy and Francis Drake and Marco Polo is that Indy is fictional the other two are real.. Besides even Indy goes on adventures and picks up trails from historical figures.. - @Thursday, March 22, 2012 1:51 PM

Mordor6121512
I'm sorry, this movie was not about appealing to a wider audience.. Maybe Spielberg tried to, and FYI even Spielberg hated the alien idea, as did Harrison Ford.. For Lucas, this is just another movie that proves and backs up the fact that he's a fatass retard who can't think of anything besides creating CGI aliens.. The only thing that fatass thinks of is Star Wars and how to milk the franchise, that he went too far to introduce to introduce incorporate Star Wars into Indiana Jones - @Thursday, March 22, 2012 1:50 PM
