A year later and I still cant fathom (mind the pun) the unreasonable knee jerk reaction to the trailer, nvm the movie lol I mean, they got Dr Kurt Wise in in here, he has a PhD in paleontology from Harvard University. He worked under Stephen Jay Gould, probably the most renowned paleontologist in modern science who described Wise as not being propaganda orientated. There are men in this production who know what they are talking about, all we are saying is, watch, listen, and scientifically refute, thats all lol knee jerk ad hominem is really childish. In her Bible Review article “Lilith” in the October 2001 issue, Professor Janet Howe Gaines explains this reasoning: “Considering every word of the Bible to be accurate and sacred, commentators needed a midrash or story to explain the disparity in the creation narratives of Genesis 1 and 2. God creates woman twice—once with man, once from man’s rib—so there must have been two women. A well crafted documentary that promote young earth creation and tries to marginalize evolution. For the luke warm Chritians with limited interest or knowledge on the subject this movie may sound very convincing. After all only Phd's are interacting with the narator. But for people who have an inquisitive mind and have some knowledge on evolution this movie raises more questions than it provides answers. A great piece of propaganda for the religious right. There are problems with this documentary. It’s made by a computer person with no scientific background. He selectively interviewed people with no relevant background whatsoever but precisely share the same unscientific speculations. A first year medical or biology student is a million times more knowledgeable in biology than a professor in computer science because the disciplines are different. The same argument can be made on geology and astronomy. The author of the documentary is as irrelevant to the issue as a gynecologist on the battle field. - @Wednesday, July 19, 2017 6:49 AM
