This is bullshit. There was never anything to even suggest that Lizzie's father did anything sexual to her and she wasn't in a lesbian relationship. She had a boyfriend and he is suspected as being the actual killer, with Lizzie putting him up to it. The reason they said she killed or had them killed, was because her family was wealthy, but her parents didn't believe in living a luxurious life and Lizzie wanted live in high society, like a socialite or debutante, instead of a commoner. This film seems to go with the theory that the reason no blood spatter was found on any of Lizzie's clothes is that she did the murders in the altogether. That seems unlikely. In a house without running water, one can't just step in the shower and get clean; you had to get buckets of water heated and brought upstairs, and it was a big effort. It's just really sad that the lines in the trailer "For a new generation" and "A chilling Reimagining" are just code words for a blatant disregard of the well known historical facts of the case. In the spirit of the "Me-too" movement ; Lets make Lizzie Borden a repressed lesbian who was savagely molested by her "mean old father" and did the only thing she could do to free herself from a miserable sexually harassed and a anti- LBTGEXZWTUBCD existence.
