The writer of this movie should be shot 85 times in his f**king knee caps. The director should be thrown off a cliff resuscitated and thrown off again for good measure. This is what happens when people who don't know how to make something beautiful or compelling just HAVE to have a crack at it. You make something worthless and pretend like it's so deep no one can understand. I'm going to say something so heinous and incomprehensibly exaggerated, I ask for your forgiveness in advance. This movie is worse than slavery. I hate it so much. I have never in my life rooted for the heat death of the universe until I watched this movie. I'm so angry I can see Into the future. I created a wormhole of absolute rage. This is more unethical than the milgram experiment. You should not be able to do this to people. I use to think Jesus could forgive all sins until I saw this abomination of a movie. This movie is so bad, even if they devoted their entire life to charity, they will still go to hell for this affront to film. I sniffed out pretension, but I got swayed by those film festival reviews. I have never purchased a movie I could not watch all the way through. This is a first. If you forced me into an option of watching this movie all the way through and self immolation Buddhist monk style, I would honestly have to flip a coin. It's that atrocious. Whoever funded this move is a terrorist. God has not created enough thumbs for me to turn down at this movie. All I know is if karma is real, MY DEBT IT PAID IN FULL! "Does it bother you that we're not real?" The mind is incredibly creative and hallucinatory in isolation. That's part of why this is one of my favorite movies. LOVE - @Monday, February 5, 2018 12:15 AM

They need to take all the deleted scenes, put them in the movie again, and make a director's cut. Love deserves it much more than one can say. It would be a far, far better (and stranger, in a good way) movie. - @Sunday, January 28, 2018 3:07 PM

Love this film. Unfortunately it's now *gone* from every legitimate source in the US. (It used to be on iTunes and Netflix, and now it's been removed from both.) All I can find on-line are Region-2 BRD's. Anyone know of another source? - @Sunday, March 13, 2016 7:07 PM

Art is what makes an artist , said a guy who spat on the sidewalk and , immediately afterwards , he said he had created an artwork. I sincerely believe that there are people like that, people who believe themselfs in a higher status than the others, people who are really convinced that any idiocy they do will be seen as a wonderful artwork. Ultimately , if there is a multitude of stupid to believe such a fallacy (and comfortably pay the nonsense of that pseudo artist) the lie can become reality. Having said this, I think it is a very interesting concept, a great idea to exploit: "Love portrays the personal-psychological effects of isolation and loneliness when an astronaut becomes stranded in space and through this, emphasizes the importance of human connection and love. Additionally, it touches on the fragility of humanity's existence (explored through a dying Earth-apocalyptic doomsday scenario) inspired by the cautions of Carl Sagan in Pale Blue Dot and considers the importance of memories and stories as humanity's legacy". However, it doesn't never happen. What we have is 86 minutes of a frustrated artwork where nothing really happen, and a lot of plots holes. - @Tuesday, November 3, 2015 9:46 PM

This movie carries deep psychological and philosophical undertones that require some good thinking. Therefore it will not be for everyone as not everyone is capable of enjoying that sort of thing. I for one was left stunned. Beautiful movie. Beautiful message and a very well done story that weaves through time and the mind of possibly the last man alive. 10/10 Get lit and think hard. - @Sunday, October 11, 2015 2:58 AM

wow this movie it's so sad, and it realy made me feel isolated, and couldn't stop thinking about how my life without my friends, family, girlfriend and all the people i love could be, i imagined my self as him being apart of everyone else, it was a good movie, this didn't try to be deep, the point of the movie was straight being isolated and understanding how we conect to others and how that makes us feel... love, so yeah cool movie - @Monday, July 20, 2015 7:52 AM

After watching this, I was perplexed but in a good way. An impression of sorts jumbled in my mind. I could not cope with my sanity of being alone in space. I sort of liked the editing to human interviews on life and where it can lead us rather the other way around. I thought it was great movie, poetic, jumbled but again it is not a spoon fed Hollywood movie. I watched Moon, (a great movie) a few weeks later, that was similar but this movie as I had seen first had left more of an imprint as it was more potent. Now I cannot seem to find it anywhere as I had stumbled onto it through iplayer... - @Friday, May 15, 2015 9:40 PM

Something about if people stopped talking the world would not be cool. Problem is, the "talking" in the trailer was so quiet compared to the loud music I couldn't hear what they were saying. Love – The Movie - LOVE *NEW* Trailer 2011 [HD] // Angels & Airwaves Movie Many comments related this movie to aliens which I found bizarre and very limited. My take has nothing to do with aliens whatever. If you take what we call 'time' which is not linear as we have been led to believe and allow it to exist of itself, outside our human construct, then it becomes ever-present and not sequential. When you take into account that all matter is vibration, then you go outside the concept of material reality as we know it and time as we know it. As vibration is infinite, it yet paradoxically remains ever-present and nothing is ever lost in the universe/universes. So, if we have existed in other 'lives' we are yet experiencing this current one in a non-linear time zone, therefore everything is occurring at once - parallel - and our ability to tune into the information of who we are, have been, possibly, who knows, will be, is concurrent and every present. The one thing which can be possible for all life existing, is a concept that creation - not by god or gods or aliens or anything else - simply existence must have an intent - this intent, for want of a better word, or concept can only be Love. To view this movie one must have a completely open mind to physics, metaphysics and to life ... we are like ants at this stage of our evolution as humans - what do ants know about building a motor car? What do we, as a confused, violent and unhappy species, yet understand of universal law? I think the movie is brilliant because it questions our very sense of reality, which is extremely limited. Yes, we do need other humans to relate to, that's normal, but what we often see as a person going insane can often be something other... like an ability to discover more. - @Saturday, September 27, 2014 11:29 PM

THIS movie is "open to interpretation" as film makers said. They said they wanted to make a movie where at the end movie watcher gets perplexed and start thinking. They succeeded on that surely. Also this movie makes you somewhat make u feel Isolated. This is not like TV show or any other movie where it will spoon feed all the story. It's more like a short English poem which every teacher has its own interpretation. - @Tuesday, June 10, 2014 10:40 AM

It's been about a month since I watched this film on Netflix streaming, which has now been removed.   The reason I am just now posting is because initially I wasn't sure how I felt about the movie. Yet it haunted me for days.  The director and the actor did a really good job of making me feel like I was there, and it really made me think I might go crazy in the same situation.   I did not like that no time frame or dates were given until nearly the end of the movie.  I am afraid I might have missed out on other key points while being annoyed and distracted with this nagging question.  I am sure this omission was intentional, but I don't know why.  The civil war scenes still do not make sense to me, one of the other reasons I wanted to watch it again.  Initially I thought it might be related to a time travel element, but I'm still not sure.   This is not your typical cookie cutter alien movie,  it's something much deeper and more cerebral than that.  I will admit that I was disappointed by this at first, but as I said, it definitely left me thinking about it much longer than any of those ever have.     - @Saturday, April 19, 2014 8:41 PM

Movie is not deep and it does not require brain power as some hipsters are claiming... its just a lame movie that has a msg that humans need to connect or we loose our shit, I for one love being alone. My chihuahua is a better companion than most humans I meet. This flick could havr being better if it was 15mins long. - @Wednesday, March 5, 2014 5:43 AM

85 percent of the budget for this movie went to the CG of the ISS shots around the earth, needless to say that this flick was awful. It is the year 2014 we know by now shit floats in space even around the orbit of the earth. - @Wednesday, March 5, 2014 4:24 AM

This was the worst movie I have ever seen. How is there gravity in the space station with out it moving? Gravity is caused by a rotating force. The movie dragged on with really no plot. Where was this movie going? I get that he was abandoned in space while all humanity was whiped out. But it was insanely boring. You're waiting and waiting for something to happen and it never does. The ending is such an anti-climactic let down. And people are going to call this "art". I guess my little brain can't wrap itself around the enless scenes of a guy sitting in a space station doing nothing. If this was a great movie to you movie to you; what is your life like? Do you sit in the woods crossed legged staring at tree bark contemplating the complexities of fungus? Please watch this for what it is and not what you think it could mean. It's sitting in a space station. Roll credits. - @Wednesday, February 5, 2014 2:40 PM

This movie was complete and utter SHIT. The visuals are great. But the movie is terrible. It wishes it was 2001: A Space Odyssey. **SPOILER ALERT** If you're interested in hearing what the movie is about, keep reading. If not, you've been warned... Guy goes to International Space Station, loses contact with civilization, finds an un-explainable journal written by a soldier in 1864 ON BOARD THE FUCKING SPACE STATION  and loses his fucking mind. Your time would be better spent hammering nails into your forehead. - @Wednesday, January 8, 2014 5:29 PM

This film was great...however its end lost my interest because it seemed like an exact copy of 2001: A Space Odyssey then. However, the concept of being abandoned in space while something goes down on Earth is incredible! - @Wednesday, October 30, 2013 11:04 PM

An allegory of modern sic-fi cinema of man. You can feel the film-making and sense the camera on the protagonists acting, that makes it feel intimate. I enjoyed Gunner Wrights' perfect thighs, complete and innocent eyes, and the gentle touch of A.I. on him. If the most high was imitated this is what the story would look like. I loved it. - @Tuesday, October 29, 2013 12:57 PM
