Matilda Wormwood is an exquisite and intelligent little girl. Unfortunately, Matilda is misunderstood by her family because she is very different from their ways of life. As time passes, Matilda finally starts school that has a kindly teacher, loyal friends and a sadistic principal. As she gets fed up with the constant cruelty, Matilda begins to realize that she has a gift of telekinetic powers. After some days of practice, Matilda suddenly turns the tables to stand up to her parents and outwit the principal.

I like this movie. :) And I think that the late, great singer Michael Jackson (who was also a great dancer, actor, writer and humanitarian) would've loved it too, had he gotten a chance to see it when it came out in 1996. He would've complimented Mara Wilson on how she brought Matilda Wormwood to life in the film, and also be impressed by how she read a lot of books (along with her co-star Jacqueline Steiger, who played Amanda Thripp), just like Matilda did in the book Matilda by Roald Dahl. :) - @Saturday, December 28, 2013 8:43 PM
