I found the film unwatchable, and only sat through most of Jimi Hendrix' performance -- the greatest guitar player in the world, with a camera zoomed in on his face for the entire sequence of songs, while excluding his hands on his guitar entirely. Thoroughly frustrating. Like watching the Olympics and only seeing the athlete's faces during their routines. Ugh. - @Wednesday, March 14, 2018 11:18 AM

We can't forget it was promoted by John Phillps. Lou Adler and Derek Talyor. And that the Beatles George Harrison and Paul McCartney gave a hand. George was responsible for the inclusion of Ravi Shankar. And Paul sugested The Who and Jimy Hendrix. They didn't want Jimi. Paul insisted. So, somehow, as we know Jimi became a super star after this festival, Paul was the one who introduced Jimi to the world. He was already huge but only in England. - @Sunday, October 25, 2015 12:33 AM

Grateful Dead at the end of this are not in the movie, as being in another movie only not being paid was not their bag, man.  See them rock in 'Petunia',1968 filmed just before the festival.  Janis Joplin too. - @Saturday, November 1, 2014 2:49 AM

you claim to be able to prevent a recording of a performed Jimi Hendrix concert in 1967. If Jimi had known that, he would not go on stage. - @Sunday, September 16, 2012 10:51 AM
