A small town Halloween festival finds itself intruded upon by an evil carnival with designs upon imprisoning and feeding off the souls of unwary teenagers. Targeted are four high school friends, who's two leaders, Kellen and Beth (not quite a dating couple), suddenly find themselves with alternate romantic choices (namely, carnival temptress Lilith and tall, dark, handsome transfer student Hunter). As the stroke of Halloween midnight approaches, who will wind up entombed in the carnival's dire Cabinet of Souls forever?

In my own opinion, when we are young, we find R.L.Stine's books remarkably excellent and they have great impact on our feeling because his books' horror, by digging deeply into our emotions with short and descriptive narratives, comes directly from our own imagination. When we are older, the imagination has matured. If one's return to the series. for example, goosebumps, he or she may find it is no longer powerful, not because we read it twice but because we think differently, and the reasoning is differently. Thus, the effective of R.L.Stine's books is so distinctive that I will not see any movie transforming from his books (for kids and teenages). I would rather let my own imagination the same with the old but true and long-lasting feelings than see the movies take away my childhood. That is the fairest thing I may say about films transforming from his books (like this book). If stricly based on the contents and images in the trailer, I think the film is not good, and when we see the movie, the effect from reading the book nothing more than "saves" it, - @Friday, July 10, 2015 6:31 AM
