The tyrant Gedren seeks the total power in a world of barbarism. She attacks and kills the keepers of a powerful talisman just before it is destroyed. Gedren then uses the power of the talisman in her raid of the city Hablac. Red Sonja, sister of the keeper, sets out with her magic sword to overthrow Gedren. The talisman's master Kalidor follows to protect her. Of course they fall in love - however Red Sonja's power bases on the oath to never give herself to any man...

I loved this movie as a kid! My big brother watched Conan, my other brother watched HeMan, and TMNT, I seriously was all about Red Sonja! I was always Red Sonja when we played. I watched it again as an adult and it was so funny/cheesy, but I loved it and it was surreal seeing this movie that I hadn't thought about for so long. Bad acting 80's gold! This movie is flawed, but I absolutely hate how these days every movie that is more than 5 years old is automatically called cheezy or childish or ridiculous while every single CGI ridden piece of crap made in the 21st century gets 9 or 10 stars on IMDb from impetuous morons who say all new movies are the best.
