Hollywood actor Johnny Marco, nested in his luxury hotel of choice, is a stimulated man. Drinking, parties and women keep a creeping boredom under wraps in between jobs. He is the occasional father of a bright girl, Cleo, who may be spoiled but doesn't act it. When Cleo's mother drops her off and leaves town, Johnny brings her along for the ride, but can he fit an 11-year-old girl into his privileged lifestyle?

that movie could be inspired by keanu reeves. i mean, sofia used to date him. and in the 1990's, keanu did live in that chateau hotel for quite some times. he also had gone through that lonely/desperate period when his partner and daughter died in car accident. i don't know perhaps this story was inspired by his life, and sofia added some fictions parts here and there. Sofia Coppola is my favorite director and completely inspires me to be a screenwriter. That being said, I was slightly disappointed with this movie. It was good and well done for what it is...but for the length of the movie not much happened and it was an incredibly slow moving movie. An underrated movie, people do not understand Sofia Coppola very well when it comes to directing and screenplay, like you look at "Lost in translation" Masterpiece. "Somewhere" Is identical yet differently crafted, she has done some fine movies and would like to see more of these ominous movies of loneliness.
