A man who would pursue another man's wife is a sodomite - for they are one flesh. Wherefore a man who would lie down with a married woman who is not his wife, is also lying down with her husband. IF you covet a married woman, you might wait for her to become "available" again, but who is to say you will not fall asleep (die) before that happens? Sort of like that picture of that angel in Raphael's famous painting - he looks like he is waiting, and kind of bored.. "I saw her first"? - @Wednesday, April 3, 2013 6:08 PM

Lois Land and Richard White in the future. Sorry, I had to. I just can't believe the same actors played characters who are romantically involved with each other in two different movies lol. - @Thursday, October 18, 2012 1:55 PM

Why in the world would you ever remake this movie?.. What is wrong with Hollywood?.. I never thought this was a great flick, but the Sam Peckinpah version is certainly a movie that stands alone as one of most visceral, violent films of all time.. It's often debated as being excessively violent, and mysoganistic.. If viewed, at all, it should be viewed in it's original form, as a work of art.. It is one of the most baffling remakes I have ever witnessed.. - @Thursday, September 29, 2011 6:30 AM

Just to think in the same year 1971, they made Carnal Knowledge, A Clockwork Orange, Dirty Harry, Duel, The French Connection, Summer of 42, Diamonds Are Forever, Klute, Sunday Bloody Sunday, The Last Picture Show, Gumshoe, The Andromeda Strain, The Devils, Get Carter, Vanishing Point, Johnny Got His Gun, Panic In Needle Park, McCabe & Mrs. Miller, Kotch, THX 1138, 10 Rillington Place, Walkabout ... more classics in that one year than there has been in the last 10 years. - @Saturday, September 10, 2011 3:05 AM

Another fucking remake. OK it's from a novel but really, the first one is a classic! Please Hollywood don't ever remake another Peckinpah movie ever again! - @Saturday, September 10, 2011 3:03 AM

@chicaaable01 ... no, the original was made in colour 1971 and starred Dustin Hoffman. - @Saturday, September 10, 2011 2:46 AM

Okay, it was bad enough that they remade this masterpiece of a movie, but (not to jinx anything) they better NOT REMAKE THE WILD BUNCH!! If Sam Peckinpah saw this, he'd be ROYALLY pissed! - @Thursday, September 1, 2011 4:12 PM

I'll be shocked if noone makes a True Blood reference. - @Friday, August 5, 2011 7:31 AM

The Concise Statement
@kaguesna I just consider it a really horrible work endorsing some rather deplorable actions, most infamously where Susan George's character appears to be taught the difference between "rape" and *rape*. - @Thursday, July 28, 2011 7:40 PM

kaguesna
@TheConciseStatement Interesting... However, I do think that the 'mean spiritedness' of the first is what made it creative and believable. Peckinpah was, in my opinion, stating that violence, vengeance, can work even for meek people if pushed to the extreme... but it ain't going to be pretty. You have to touch something nasty and horrible inside yourself to become the way Dustin Hoffman becomes in the original, and that is the depth of the movie in my opinion. Vengeance is not a pretty feeling. - @Wednesday, July 27, 2011 8:56 PM

Sam Pekinpah would gun these people down. If he was in a good mood. EEEEEESH. - @Wednesday, July 27, 2011 8:50 PM

No need for this remake. original was perfect. - @Monday, July 11, 2011 6:34 AM

The Concise Statement
You know, usually remakes of these classic horrors and thrillers are awful and pointless (Chainsaw Massacre, Elm Street, etc.). However this is one case where the original is so nasty and horrible and mean spirited, that the remake might actually be an improvement. - @Saturday, July 9, 2011 5:57 PM

@106588 hi, i wouldn't really call the movie scary, more of a thriller and as for whether or not it's a good movie or not, it hasn't really tickled my fancy but that's my opinion. lol if u just want to munch on some eye candy (Alexander skarsgard), totally would watch it. - @Wednesday, May 18, 2011 10:18 AM
