One of the best action thriller musical movie ever. The ending track Tonight is what it mean to be young... is awesome! - @Friday, July 27, 2018 8:36 AM

Finally watch it. Damn good movie. If it wasn't for Streets Of Fire there be no Trouble in Mind, or no Megazone 23 and so on. - @Sunday, June 14, 2015 8:18 AM

I just watched this again for the first time in forever. This movie was part of my childhood. It was one of 3 movies we had at my dad's house. Obviously my parents didn't care too much about what we watched, cause this shouldn't have been a movie you'd let you kid watch. - @Wednesday, April 23, 2014 3:56 AM

I love the concept. Still a disappointment of a film. This story fits well as a well developed video game. I think the people from the BioShock franchise would make a smash hit out of the story. :) - @Saturday, April 12, 2014 11:22 PM

awesome movie, i love this and to me one of the most underrated movies of all time, did you know there was supposed to be 3 movies of this, that would of been great, shame the film bombed.cause me and my young bro can see how good this is, and the soundtrack is great, the great and very foxy lady stevie nicks wrote some of the songs for this film no wonder it is a great soundtrack, william defoe is fine here as the evil raven shaddock, well he always plays great villians, love diane lane very sexy lady and a solid actress magic as ellen aim, micheal pare good as tom cody = one of these actors that never really went anywhere to be fair he looked like he would not be a big stat reduced to b movies over the years, a very underrated actress amy madigan always loved her in uncle buck magic as mccoy, her role was supposed to be a man's part but i think she is very good in this, rick moranis is miscast as billy fish he even said it himself once, but i think he is good, and great producing from the undrrated and magic team of lawernce gordon and joel silver, amd the directing from walter hill just pure class, glad he is back where he belongs back in the director's chair, you can't beat the days when you had hill, gorden and silver together they were a magic production team, the acting is class, the script is a cracker, love the action, the film does not have any dull moments, i can't see how this film bombed, maybe cause this film was way ahead of it's time, love the music.if anyone has not seen this do me a favour and watch it, trust me this is that good. overall 10 out of 10, and walter hill's most underrated movie, well this or driver. - @Thursday, January 16, 2014 8:39 PM

I just recently found out that this movie was the influence for the video game Final Fight. Tom Cody was the inspiration for Cody in the game. The plot for the movie is more or less the same as the plot for the game. - @Saturday, December 28, 2013 6:19 AM

What I especially love about this trailer (besides everything) is that Dafoe was almost an unknown then (he's not even mentioned in the trailer by name), and now 30 years later, only he and Diane (and in a really really cheap way Pare) have more or less successful careers. - @Thursday, November 14, 2013 11:40 PM

"I'll be coming for her and I'll be coming for you to" "Sure you will and I'll be waiting" Hehehehe! The tough guy lines and comeback sayings of the 1980s - @Thursday, November 14, 2013 11:20 AM

That it's going to be like paintings, movies, and others tat were understood in it's time in which it was first released? Strange that it was on Netflix then a day later no longer there. There were going to be 2 sequels but unsuccessful at the Box Office changed that. I completely disagree with Diane Lane nominated for a razzy in this. Nothing in this movie was unconvincing of the character she had to play. - @Sunday, July 14, 2013 9:37 PM

came here from the "Final Fight" wikipedia entry. - @Monday, July 8, 2013 5:01 AM

Jason Case
There is a unofficial Sequel. For some strange reason this is no longer on Netflix. Also I think the nomination of Diane Lane for a Razzy is crap. I watched the movie, and there was nothing I saw in the movie that was unconvincing as a successful singer that still has a conection with her ex boyfriend. WIthout this movie the Video Game Final Fight likely never gets created. - @Friday, July 5, 2013 4:34 AM

Bongogod
Ed Beagley Jr. at 1:24. Seriously. It's him. Most underrated movie of all time. - @Sunday, June 30, 2013 10:31 PM

Jason Case
Meaning it wasn't praised by critics but it was accepted by non critics? is there any chance of this becoming a cult classic, also if the only law is a loaded gun for this movie does that mean this is in a Anarchy Society? There are movies, paintings that they weren't understood and accepted in their time. Maybe Streets of Fire could one day join the others. - @Wednesday, June 26, 2013 7:18 PM

Jason Case
How could something be unofficial? - @Wednesday, June 26, 2013 7:13 PM

Jason Case
So it wasn't able to be make a lot of money at the box office? Also if the only law is a loaded gun is in a Anarachy Society? - @Wednesday, June 26, 2013 7:13 PM

This is way closer to Double Dragon than the Double Dragon movie was. A very young Diane Lane in this movie early in her career, was she also in THe Outsiders? - @Wednesday, June 26, 2013 9:19 AM

The movie is real good, unfortunately it never got the credits it deserved and stayed underrated. This movie will always be a very good spring/summer hot block buster movie forever in my book! :) ♥ - @Friday, May 10, 2013 8:56 PM

Your information is partially true. The elevated train scenes and some of the lower level scenes(under the "L") were shot in Chicago. (Near Lower Wacker Drive) - @Monday, March 18, 2013 3:14 PM
