This was perhaps the worst sci-fi movie I've ever seen. I'm surprised the plot didn't involve going into the center of the sun instead of the earth. (That would have meant engineering a vessel that would withstand nuclear fusion.) It rivals Ishtar for boredom, and there were many painful moments trying to complete watching it. Unlike Contact, a moving and thought provoking movie, it insults anyone with a scientific mind. I'm surprised that Hillary Swank and Stanley Tucci agreed to act in it.
