Hi! I am an rep for our Humane Society. This movie stands out to me. I DO NOT believe in puppy mills and believe they should be shut down. I think some counties and cities should start a program with their local humane society or other animal rescue to shut down all breeding mills in their hometown. The way the owners of the facilities treat these animals is disgusting. Some mills have been known to lock a female dog and a male dog in a room until they see them breed and then do that to another pair. This way, profit will exceed more quickly. So I just watched this movie and while the guy really does seem to care about the dogs, I would never get a dog from someone who own 100 dogs, and breeds them all, my dog (also a hunting dog) is from a breeder that owns 7 females, her father was flown in from canada because the breeder makes sure to know/get the best genes (no defects, health issues etc.) for the future pups. She breeds one female a year, so that the other get a break for 2-3 years. That is a responsible breeder, as soon as the dogs are kept in cages it's unacceptable in my opinion! - @Sunday, July 10, 2016 10:33 PM

finally a film by protect the harvest. anymore my opinion of "adopt don't shop" had turned into "shop don't adopt". first off its cheaper, I can go to a respectable breeder and purchase a dog, and know it parents and possible health issues due to the breed for 100-300 $, or I can " adopt" a dog for 1000$. that's not adopting, that's extortion, some "shelters" even allow female dogs in heat to become bred so they can have puppies to apply a sob story to just to get more money. I mean yeah some people don't treat their animals incorrectly, just like some people shoot other people, it happens. recently I read a story (and seen an example of this) of a chick who had dogs. se would starve them and create a go fund me page to collect money so she could "rehabilitate" the animals. and in the end she just threw the dead ones away, but she kept starving them and repeating the cycle over and over again, she would even dye a dog a different color just to whore out more money. - @Saturday, July 9, 2016 1:46 AM

The new code for animal rescues is showing them how to seize your dogs and make money. There is a difference between animal rights, and animal welfare. Animal rights want our pets to live with the same rights that people have. Animal welfare are those people that are actually looking out for an animals well being. It's a major problem, across the nation animals are being seized for no reason, take a look at what happened to Paul Uptons dogs in Indianapolis. 30 years of excellent inspections and then one gung ho animal rights activist decides to seize all of his dogs, the uspca brings in "evaluators" whom are a joke, and basically try to provoke them into an aggressive reaction. And since November 2015 have killed 5 puppies and by sheer negligence killed an adult dog because the refused to seek medical treatment. Now he can't see his dogs, and must pay an exorbitant amount each month just so IACC doesn't sell his dogs. Oh and they fucked with his livelihood.
