Eric Roberts' acting is horrible in this movie. It's actually funny. Mickey Rourke's acting was much better, but it shared one thing in common with Roberts' acting in this movie. Neither one were believable as 1980's Little Italy Italians. If you're from Nebraska then you might find this movie realistic. Some of the accents are way off. It's extremely distracting. The Pope in Rome loves to speak of helping the poor - they who have little money, little earthly treasure, while it seems he and his bishops promote the idea that bloodlines determine who goes to heaven - for this reason they say abortion is evil, while they promote violating women (a policy of "rape and reap"), murder, and slavery. Two ways : Keep the Law so that you might dwell in the land, or by faith in Jesus Christ, wait for it.
