The story in this movie deals with the perseverance of Spaniards to take back their country from the French who have conquered Spain under Napoleon as he marched over Europe. A huge cannon, perhaps the largest in the world at that time, is discarded by the army as they retreat from the French invaders. A "ragtag" group of Spanish loyalists find "The Gun" and begin to restore it so they may tow it across Spain to the French stronghold in Avila and use it to open the giant walls for an invasion. Luckily Britain has sent someone to retrieve the cannon for England so they can have it to fight the French also AND to make sure that the French don't get the gun! A shoemaker and his voluptuous girl friend are the leaders of the peasants trying to get the gun to Avila. The Brit can't get help to get the giant gun back to his ship without the peasants and the shoemaker won't help him unless they all go blast Avila open first. You people who bring on and you sponsored these movies old movies that some people like myself find a certain Pride or a certain desired to see what makes you fucking think I'm going to buy the movie though you're being very deceptive people out here are not all made of money bucks we don't know all worship the god money bucks. Other comments are criticizing this preview - I agree it's not very appealing, but it is a departure from the usual trailers of that time, with giant words and slogans slapped across the screen, and bombastic loud music. And to be different from this expected sound and look was obviously what was intended. I believe Frank Sinatra abruptly pulled out of the location filming before he was supposed to be finished and flew back to the US without authorization - not a good sign. - @Friday, October 19, 2012 6:18 AM

This must be easily the worst trailer I have ever seen, and even the drawings are rotten,spattered with meaningless yellow dots and dashes. Either crass stupidity and/or nepotism, is behind this monstrosity, which would not only discourage the public from seeing the movie but even from touring Spain. Btw, Frankie in the most miscast role of his career used an Argentinian coach for his accented English, producing a most irritating way of talking one would never hear in Spain.
