Two men in an apartment with their opposing beliefs in this play by Cormac McCarthey. The black guy, a former convict who believes in God, just saved the white atheist professor from jumping in front of the express train. He won't let the depressed man leave, without following him, and feel he's in this situation for a reason, decided by God. An intense chamber play about belief or unbelief, and a conversation about what's true and important in life, or not.

One of my favorite parts which I'm kind of hoping was done on purpose is when SammyJackson's character after going to the bathroom while speaking to Tommy Jones's character flushes the toilet and walks straight back out thus given most of the audience the right of assumption, I instantly accused the man of being filthy for not washing his hands without realizing this here working Christian man perhaps did so because he only has running water in his kitchen. Of course there's the chance I'm taking up too much time and space assuming all this to be highly possible when all along it was just so he could get back in the room sooner. He did have his soap bar in the kitchen though, but I guess a lot of folks do too next to the washing liquid. - @Thursday, May 31, 2018 4:08 PM
