This movie is far from perfection (plot holes and whatever), but now I want to explore the cornerstone idea. Theorizing a world where only the smartest can access is pretty fascist. The idea is fascinating, but involves the concept of standard, that excludes by definition people that can't reach it. I'm ok with that, but only if the smartest payback the community with their work, and this isn't the case (in fact they are isolated in their city, located in a parallel dimension).
