This might not be a perfect movie but still I'm loving it to death! Bought the collector's edition and watched it countless times, just to have some Warhammer 40k atmosphere. Even if many of you dislike a lot of things, you have to admit that this movie has a lot of awesome moments and great atmosphere. You can feel that it is made with love. The music is awsome, the voice acting is great, there are a lot of great lines, the armour looks good, the action scenes are a lot of fun, you get all of that "It's fucking awesome to be a motherfucking astartes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" feeling and so on. The thing that bothered me the most though is that there are no terminators! I fucking love them but there is not a single terminator in the entire movie. T_T - @Wednesday, May 18, 2016 9:32 PM

The Space Marines got killed quiet easily by their enemies, which is not very true to the stories about how they are made. Well a single space marine is about the strength of 100 guardsmen and elite space marines even more so a terminator is 300 guardsmen and there are hundreds of chapters with a thousand marines each (normally) who usually come in one hundred so there pretty much one hundred men who can do the work of a thousand. - @Monday, December 23, 2013 8:01 PM

It's more like several thousand billion world and a force of guardsmen that measures somewhere in the low-to-mid trillions. While the Astartes are good for propaganda, bear in mind they can be are generally *are* directed towards any campaigns of major significance and are generally more effective than throwing billions of guardsmen at the problem. Problem is the Imperium has one million worlds. That's one or two marines per world. While there's got to be millions of guardsmen per world. Thus it seems to me that it is mainly the Imperial Guard keeping the Imperium together and fending of its enemies, even if the Astartes does aid them. I think that the greatest value the Space Marines have is a propaganda one "look at these mighty warriors defending humanity, nothing to worry about, back to work". - @Wednesday, October 9, 2013 8:03 PM

Yeah, it's something I've not really understood given the newer background from Forgeworld regarding the Heresy, with the legions having tens or hundreds of thousands of Space Marines...wtf bother with normal human soldiers? You could just have a Waaaagh of Power Armor hit the planet. That was the World Eaters' patented tactic (and Thunder Warriors seemed to be the "Spartan 2s" to Space Marines' Being "Spartan 4s" giving the WEs laid out killing one TW) - @Tuesday, October 8, 2013 3:12 PM
