Libya, 2012. At an unofficial CIA base in Benghazi a group of ex-military contractors are providing security. In the aftermath of Gaddafi's downfall a power vacuum exists and the climate is volatile. Military weapons are freely available. The US Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, makes a visit to the area, staying in a compound near the CIA base. On the night of 11 September, 2012, the Ambassador's compound is attacked by hordes of heavily armed locals. The only forces willing and able to defend it are six CIA contractors.

Anyone else notice that Roy (David Denman) has re-united with Jim? Roy obviously turned to a life of violence after Jim screwed up his life. Yet here we find Jim joining him after Dwight's snow-ball incident. Surprisingly, Roy seems happy to see him: "Welcome to the club" - really proud of him - he's being the bigger man and welcoming Jim into this hostile environment after Jim screwed up his whole romantic life. Came back to watch this movie again after 2 years and it made me cry like a fucking baby . The reason is not that the movie was emotional but in the back of my head thinking that this shit is real and for me living in greece basically right next to these places just seperated from them from the Mediterranean and Turkey makes me just bit feeling safe... I am not going to patrionize and support the USA or US Army and the rest of US has to offer for providing "protection" because a lot of this shit was caused by the US government.
