After the departure of Rube Sofer, a new head reaper named Cameron Kane takes over. He's a slick businessman who couldn't care less about helping the newly dead. Chaos ensues and brings out the worst in Daisy and Mason who begin drinking anew, and Roxy, who begins seeking glory. George and Reggie re-connect for the first time when George reaps a new friend of Reggie's.

I watched the pilot episode on Hulu. I loved it. I saw pieces of " Life After Death " at various times on the Sci - Fi / SyFy Channel &, like the majority of people here, I was NOT blown away by it. The movie takes place five years after the series finale and Rube has moved on and a new head Reaper is named for the group. They dislike him almost instantly, however, due to his shortsightedness and underhanded reaping tactics. One of which includes messing up George's ETD for her reap.
